33 saying, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be [a]delivered to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will [b]hand Him over to the Gentiles.34 They will mock Him and spit on Him, and scourge Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again.”
31 Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which are written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.32 For He will be [a]handed over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and mistreated and spit upon,33 and after they have scourged Him, they will kill Him; and the third day He will rise again.”
6 He is not here, but He has [a]risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee,7 saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”
3 Judas then, having received the Roman[a]cohort and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, *came there with lanterns and torches and weapons.4 So Jesus, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, went forth and *said to them, “Whom do you seek?”5 They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” He *said to them, “I am He.” And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them.6 So when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
14 Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the [a]sixth hour. And he *said to the Jews, “Behold, your King!”15 So they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!” Pilate *said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”
16 So he then handed Him over to them to be crucified.
17 They took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, [b]bearing His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in [c]Hebrew, Golgotha.18 There they crucified Him, and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between.
