6 Jésus partit de là, et se rendit dans sa patrie. Ses disciples le suivirent.
2 Quand le sabbat fut venu, il se mit à enseigner dans la synagogue. Beaucoup de gens qui l'entendirent étaient étonnés et disaient: D'où lui viennent ces choses? Quelle est cette sagesse qui lui a été donnée, et comment de tels miracles se font-ils par ses mains?
3 N'est-ce pas le charpentier, le fils de Marie, le frère de Jacques, de Joses, de Jude et de Simon? et ses soeurs ne sont-elles pas ici parmi nous? Et il était pour eux une occasion de chute.
4 Mais Jésus leur dit: Un prophète n'est méprisé que dans sa patrie, parmi ses parents, et dans sa maison.
5 Il ne put faire là aucun miracle, si ce n'est qu'il imposa les mains à quelques malades et les guérit.
6 Et il s'étonnait de leur incrédulité. Jésus parcourait les villages d'alentour, en enseignant.
7 Alors il appela les douze, et il commença à les envoyer deux à deux, en leur donnant pouvoir sur les esprits impurs.
8 Il leur prescrivit de ne rien prendre pour le voyage, si ce n'est un bâton; de n'avoir ni pain, ni sac, ni monnaie dans la ceinture;
9 de chausser des sandales, et de ne pas revêtir deux tuniques.
10 Puis il leur dit: Dans quelque maison que vous entriez, restez-y jusqu'à ce que vous partiez de ce lieu.
11 Et, s'il y a quelque part des gens qui ne vous reçoivent ni ne vous écoutent, retirez-vous de là, et secouez la poussière de vos pieds, afin que cela leur serve de témoignage.
12 Ils partirent, et ils prêchèrent la repentance.
13 Ils chassaient beaucoup de démons, et ils oignaient d'huile beaucoup de malades et les guérissaient.
14 Le roi Hérode entendit parler de Jésus, dont le nom était devenu célèbre, et il dit: Jean Baptiste est ressuscité des morts, et c'est pour cela qu'il se fait par lui des miracles.
15 D'autres disaient: C'est Élie. Et d'autres disaient: C'est un prophète comme l'un des prophètes.
16 Mais Hérode, en apprenant cela, disait: Ce Jean que j'ai fait décapiter, c'est lui qui est ressuscité.
17 Car Hérode lui-même avait fait arrêter Jean, et l'avait fait lier en prison, à cause d'Hérodias, femme de Philippe, son frère, parce qu'il l'avait épousée,
18 et que Jean lui disait: Il ne t'est pas permis d'avoir la femme de ton frère.
19 Hérodias était irritée contre Jean, et voulait le faire mourir.
20 Mais elle ne le pouvait; car Hérode craignait Jean, le connaissant pour un homme juste et saint; il le protégeait, et, après l'avoir entendu, il était souvent perplexe, et l'écoutait avec plaisir.
21 Cependant, un jour propice arriva, lorsque Hérode, à l'anniversaire de sa naissance, donna un festin à ses grands, aux chefs militaires et aux principaux de la Galilée.
22 La fille d'Hérodias entra dans la salle; elle dansa, et plut à Hérode et à ses convives. Le roi dit à la jeune fille: Demande-moi ce que tu voudras, et je te le donnerai.
23 Il ajouta avec serment: Ce que tu me demanderas, je te le donnerai, fût-ce la moitié de mon royaume.
24 Étant sortie, elle dit à sa mère: Que demanderais-je? Et sa mère répondit: La tête de Jean Baptiste.
25 Elle s'empressa de rentrer aussitôt vers le roi, et lui fit cette demande: Je veux que tu me donnes à l'instant, sur un plat, la tête de Jean Baptiste.
26 Le roi fut attristé; mais, à cause de ses serments et des convives, il ne voulut pas lui faire un refus.
27 Il envoya sur-le-champ un garde, avec ordre d'apporter la tête de Jean Baptiste.
28 Le garde alla décapiter Jean dans la prison, et apporta la tête sur un plat. Il la donna à la jeune fille, et la jeune fille la donna à sa mère.
29 Les disciples de Jean, ayant appris cela, vinrent prendre son corps, et le mirent dans un sépulcre.
30 Les apôtres, s'étant rassemblés auprès de Jésus, lui racontèrent tout ce qu'ils avaient fait et tout ce qu'ils avaient enseigné.
31 Jésus leur dit: Venez à l'écart dans un lieu désert, et reposez-vous un peu. Car il y avait beaucoup d'allants et de venants, et ils n'avaient même pas le temps de manger.
32 Ils partirent donc dans une barque, pour aller à l'écart dans un lieu désert.
33 Beaucoup de gens les virent s'en aller et les reconnurent, et de toutes les villes on accourut à pied et on les devança au lieu où ils se rendaient.
34 Quand il sortit de la barque, Jésus vit une grande foule, et fut ému de compassion pour eux, parce qu'ils étaient comme des brebis qui n'ont point de berger; et il se mit à leur enseigner beaucoup de choses.
35 Comme l'heure était déjà avancée, ses disciples s'approchèrent de lui, et dirent: Ce lieu est désert, et l'heure est déjà avancée;
36 renvoie-les, afin qu'ils aillent dans les campagnes et dans les villages des environs, pour s'acheter de quoi manger.
37 Jésus leur répondit: Donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger. Mais ils lui dirent: Irions-nous acheter des pains pour deux cents deniers, et leur donnerions-nous à manger?
38 Et il leur dit: Combien avez-vous de pains? Allez voir. Ils s'en assurèrent, et répondirent: Cinq, et deux poissons.
39 Alors il leur commanda de les faire tous asseoir par groupes sur l'herbe verte,
40 et ils s'assirent par rangées de cent et de cinquante.
41 Il prit les cinq pains et les deux poissons et, levant les yeux vers le ciel, il rendit grâces. Puis, il rompit les pains, et les donna aux disciples, afin qu'ils les distribuassent à la foule. Il partagea aussi les deux poissons entre tous.
42 Tous mangèrent et furent rassasiés,
43 et l'on emporta douze paniers pleins de morceaux de pain et de ce qui restait des poissons.
44 Ceux qui avaient mangé les pains étaient cinq mille hommes.
45 Aussitôt après, il obligea ses disciples à monter dans la barque et à passer avant lui de l'autre côté, vers Bethsaïda, pendant que lui-même renverrait la foule.
46 Quand il l'eut renvoyée, il s'en alla sur la montagne, pour prier.
47 Le soir étant venu, la barque était au milieu de la mer, et Jésus était seul à terre.
48 Il vit qu'ils avaient beaucoup de peine à ramer; car le vent leur était contraire. A la quatrième veille de la nuit environ, il alla vers eux, marchant sur la mer, et il voulait les dépasser.
49 Quand ils le virent marcher sur la mer, ils crurent que c'étaient un fantôme, et ils poussèrent des cris;
50 car ils le voyaient tous, et ils étaient troublés. Aussitôt Jésus leur parla, et leur dit: Rassurez-vous, c'est moi, n'ayez pas peur!
51 Puis il monta vers eux dans la barque, et le vent cessa. Ils furent en eux-même tout stupéfaits et remplis d'étonnement;
52 car ils n'avaient pas compris le miracle des pains, parce que leur coeur était endurci.
53 Après avoir traversé la mer, ils vinrent dans le pays de Génésareth, et ils abordèrent.
54 Quand ils furent sortis de la barque, les gens, ayant aussitôt reconnu Jésus,
55 parcoururent tous les environs, et l'on se mit à apporter les malades sur des lits, partout où l'on apprenait qu'il était.
56 En quelque lieu qu'il arrivât, dans les villages, dans les villes ou dans les campagnes, on mettait les malades sur les places publiques, et on le priait de leur permettre seulement de toucher le bord de son vêtement. Et tous ceux qui le touchaient étaient guéris.

A Prophet Without Honor(A)
6 Jesus left there and went to his hometown,(B) accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came,(C) he began to teach in the synagogue,(D) and many who heard him were amazed.(E)
“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? 3 Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon?(F) Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.(G)
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”(H) 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on(I) a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve(J)
Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.(K) 7 Calling the Twelve to him,(L) he began to send them out two by two(M) and gave them authority over impure spirits.(N)
8 These were his instructions: “Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts. 9 Wear sandals but not an extra shirt. 10 Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that town. 11 And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet(O) as a testimony against them.”
12 They went out and preached that people should repent.(P) 13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil(Q) and healed them.
John the Baptist Beheaded(R)(S)
14 King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known. Some were saying,[b] “John the Baptist(T) has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”
15 Others said, “He is Elijah.”(U)
And still others claimed, “He is a prophet,(V) like one of the prophets of long ago.”(W)
16 But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised from the dead!”
17 For Herod himself had given orders to have John arrested, and he had him bound and put in prison.(X) He did this because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. 18 For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”(Y) 19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to, 20 because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man.(Z) When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled[c]; yet he liked to listen to him.
21 Finally the opportune time came. On his birthday Herod gave a banquet(AA) for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee.(AB) 22 When the daughter of[d] Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests.
The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23 And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”(AC)
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?”
“The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.
25 At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”
26 The king was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27 So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28 and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. 29 On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand(AD)(AE)
30 The apostles(AF) gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught.(AG) 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat,(AH) he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
32 So they went away by themselves in a boat(AI) to a solitary place. 33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.(AJ) So he began teaching them many things.
35 By this time it was late in the day, so his disciples came to him. “This is a remote place,” they said, “and it’s already very late. 36 Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”
37 But he answered, “You give them something to eat.”(AK)
They said to him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages[e]! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?”
38 “How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.”
When they found out, they said, “Five—and two fish.”(AL)
39 Then Jesus directed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties. 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.(AM) Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42 They all ate and were satisfied, 43 and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. 44 The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.
Jesus Walks on the Water(AN)(AO)
45 Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat(AP) and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida,(AQ) while he dismissed the crowd. 46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.(AR)
47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, 49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost.(AS) They cried out, 50 because they all saw him and were terrified.
Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”(AT) 51 Then he climbed into the boat(AU) with them, and the wind died down.(AV) They were completely amazed, 52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.(AW)
53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there.(AX) 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak,(AY) and all who touched it were healed.

11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

21 And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;
22 And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
23 And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
24 And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
26 And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

28 And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.
53 And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
54 And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

Hindi Tinanggap si Jesus sa Nazaret(A)
6 Umalis si Jesus sa lugar na iyon at umuwi sa sarili niyang bayan. Kasama niya ang kanyang mga tagasunod. 2 Pagdating ng Araw ng Pamamahinga, pumunta siya sa sambahan ng mga Judio at nagturo roon. Nagtaka ang maraming taong nakikinig sa kanya. Sinabi nila, “Saan kaya niya nakuha ang karunungang iyan? At ano ang karunungang ito na ibinigay sa kanya? Paano siya nakagagawa ng mga himala? 3 Hindi baʼt siya ang karpinterong anak ni Maria, at kapatid nina Santiago, Jose, Judas at Simon? Hindi baʼt ang mga kapatid niyang babae ay dito rin nakatira sa atin?” At hindi siya pinaniwalaan. 4 Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Ang isang propeta ay iginagalang kahit saan, maliban sa kanyang sariling bayan at mga kamag-anak at mga kasambahay.” 5 Iyan ang dahilan kung bakit hindi siya nakagawa ng mga himala roon maliban sa ilang maysakit na pinatungan niya ng kanyang kamay at pinagaling. 6 Nagtaka siya sa kawalan nila ng pananampalataya sa kanya.

Nilibot ni Jesus ang mga kanayunan at nangaral sa mga tao. 7 Tinawag niya ang 12 apostol at sinugo sila nang dala-dalawa. Binigyan niya sila ng kapangyarihang magpalayas ng masasamang espiritu. 8 At ibinilin niya sa kanila, “Huwag kayong magdala ng anuman sa inyong paglalakbay, kahit pagkain, pera o bag, maliban sa isang tungkod. 9 Pwede kayong magsuot ng sandalyas, pero huwag kayong magdala ng bihisan. 10 Kapag pinatuloy kayo sa isang bahay, doon na lang kayo manatili hanggang sa pag-alis ninyo sa lugar na iyon. 11 Kung ayaw kayong tanggapin o pakinggan ng mga tao sa isang lugar, umalis kayo roon at ipagpag ninyo ang alikabok sa inyong mga paa bilang babala laban sa kanila.” 12 Kaya umalis ang 12 at nangaral sa mga tao na dapat nilang pagsisihan ang kanilang mga kasalanan. 13 Pinalayas nila ang maraming masamang espiritu at maraming may sakit ang pinahiran nila ng langis at pinagaling.

14 Nabalitaan ni Haring Herodes ang tungkol kay Jesus dahil kilalang-kilala na siya kahit saan. May mga nagsasabi, “Siya ay si Juan na tagapagbautismo na muling nabuhay, kaya nakagagawa siya ng mga himala.” 15 Ang sabi naman ng iba, “Siya ay si Elias.” At may mga nagsasabi rin na siya ay isang propeta na tulad ng mga propeta noong unang panahon.
16 Pero nang mabalitaan ni Herodes ang mga sinabing iyon ng mga tao, sinabi niya, “Muling nabuhay si Juan na pinapugutan ko ng ulo!” 17 Ipinahuli noon ni Herodes si Juan at ipinabilanggo, dahil tinutuligsa ni Juan ang relasyon niya kay Herodias. Si Herodias ay asawa ng kapatid ni Herodes na si Felipe. Pero kinuha siya ni Herodes bilang asawa. 18 Laging sinasabihan ni Juan si Herodes na hindi tama na kunin niya ang asawa ng kanyang kapatid. 19 Kaya nagkimkim ng galit si Herodias kay Juan, at gusto niya itong ipapatay. Pero hindi niya magawa, dahil ayaw pumayag ni Herodes. 20 Takot si Herodes kay Juan dahil alam niyang matuwid at mabuting tao si Juan. Kaya ipinagtatanggol niya ito. Kahit nababagabag siya sa mga sinasabi ni Juan, gustong-gusto pa rin niyang makinig dito.
21 Pero sa wakas ay dumating din ang pagkakataong hinihintay ni Herodias. Kaarawan noon ni Herodes at nagdaos siya ng malaking handaan. Inimbita niya ang mga opisyal ng Galilea, mga kumander ng mga sundalong Romano at iba pang mga kilalang tao roon. 22 Nang oras na ng kasiyahan, pumasok ang anak na babae ni Herodias at nagsayaw. Labis na nasiyahan si Herodes at ang mga bisita niya. Kaya sinabi ni Herodes sa dalaga, “Humingi ka sa akin ng kahit anong gusto mo at ibibigay ko.” 23 At sumumpa pa siya na ibibigay niya sa dalaga kahit ang kalahati pa ng kanyang kaharian. 24 Lumabas muna ang dalaga at tinanong ang kanyang ina kung ano ang hihilingin niya. Sinabihan siya ng kanyang ina na hingin ang ulo ni Juan na tagapagbautismo. 25 Kaya dali-daling bumalik ang dalaga sa hari at sinabi, “Gusto ko pong ibigay ninyo sa akin ngayon din ang ulo ni Juan na tagapagbautismo, na nakalagay sa isang bandehado.” 26 Labis itong ikinalungkot ng hari, pero dahil nangako siya sa harap ng mga bisita niya, hindi siya makatanggi sa dalaga. 27 Kaya pinapunta niya agad sa bilangguan ang isang sundalo upang dalhin sa kanya ang ulo ni Juan. Pumunta ang sundalo sa bilangguan at pinugutan ng ulo si Juan, 28 inilagay niya ang ulo sa bandehado at ibinigay sa dalaga. At ibinigay naman ito ng dalaga sa kanyang ina. 29 Nang mabalitaan ng mga tagasunod ni Juan ang nangyari, kinuha nila ang kanyang bangkay at inilibing.
Pinakain ni Jesus ang 5,000 Tao(D)
30 Bumalik ang mga apostol na inutusan ni Jesus na mangaral, at ikinuwento nila sa kanya ang lahat ng ginawa at ipinangaral nila. 31 Dahil sa dami ng mga taong dumarating at umaalis, wala na silang panahon kahit kumain man lang. Kaya sinabi ni Jesus sa mga tagasunod niya, “Iwan muna natin ang mga taong ito. Pumunta tayo sa ilang para makapagpahinga.” 32 Kaya sumakay sila sa isang bangka at pumunta sa isang ilang.
33 Pero marami ang nakakita at nakakilala sa kanila noong umalis sila. Kaya mabilis namang naglakad ang mga tao mula sa ibaʼt ibang bayan papunta sa lugar na pupuntahan nina Jesus. At nauna pa silang dumating doon. 34 Kaya nang bumaba si Jesus sa bangka, nakita niya ang napakaraming tao. Naawa siya sa kanila, dahil para silang mga tupa na walang pastol. Kaya tinuruan niya sila ng maraming bagay. 35 Nang dapit-hapon na, lumapit kay Jesus ang mga tagasunod niya at sinabi, “Nasa ilang po tayo at malapit nang gumabi. 36 Paalisin nʼyo na po ang mga tao nang makapunta sila sa mga karatig nayon at bukid para makabili ng pagkain.” 37 Pero sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Kayo ang magpakain sa kanila.” Sumagot sila, “Aabutin po ng walong buwang sahod ang gagastusin para sa kanila! Bibili po ba kami ng ganoong halaga ng tinapay para ipakain sa kanila?” 38 Tinanong sila ni Jesus, “Ilan ba ang dala ninyong tinapay? Sige, tingnan nga ninyo.” Tiningnan nga nila, at sinabi kay Jesus, “Mayroon po tayong limang tinapay at dalawang isda.”
39 Pagkatapos, inutusan ni Jesus ang kanyang mga alagad na paupuin ng grupo-grupo ang mga tao sa damuhan. 40 Kaya umupo nga sila ng grupo-grupo, tig-100 at tig-50 bawat grupo. 41 Kinuha ni Jesus ang limang tinapay at dalawang isda. Tumingala siya sa langit at nagpasalamat sa Dios. Pagkatapos, hinati-hati niya ang tinapay at ibinigay sa mga tagasunod niya para ipamigay sa mga tao. Ganoon din ang ginawa niya sa isda. 42 Kumain silang lahat at nabusog. 43 Pagkatapos, tinipon nila ang natirang tinapay at isda, at nakapuno sila ng 12 basket. 44 Ang bilang ng mga lalaking kumain ay 5,000.
Lumakad si Jesus sa Ibabaw ng Tubig(E)
45 Pagkatapos, pinasakay agad ni Jesus sa bangka ang mga tagasunod niya at pinauna sa bayan ng Betsaida, sa kabila ng lawa, habang pinapauwi niya ang mga tao. 46 Nang makaalis na ang mga tao, umakyat siya sa isang bundok upang manalangin. 47 Nang gumabi na, nasa laot na ang bangka at siya na lang ang naiwan. 48 Nakita niyang hirap sa pagsagwan ang mga tagasunod niya, dahil salungat sila sa hangin. Nang madaling-araw na, sumunod sa kanila si Jesus na naglalakad sa ibabaw ng tubig. Lalampasan na lang sana niya sila, 49-50 pero nakita siya ng mga tagasunod niya na lumalakad sa ibabaw ng tubig. Natakot sila at nagsigawan, dahil akala nila ay multo siya. Pero nagsalita agad si Jesus, “Ako ito! Huwag kayong matakot. Lakasan ninyo ang inyong loob.” 51 Sumakay siya sa bangka at biglang tumigil ang malakas na hangin. Namangha sila nang husto, 52 dahil hindi pa rin sila nakakaunawa kahit nakita na nila ang himalang ginawa ni Jesus sa tinapay. Ayaw nilang maniwala dahil matigas ang puso nila.
Pinagaling ni Jesus ang mga May Sakit sa Genesaret(F)
53 Nang makatawid na sila sa lawa, dumating sila sa Genesaret at doon nila idinaong ang bangka. 54 Pagbaba nila, nakilala agad si Jesus ng mga tao roon. 55 Kaya nagmamadaling pumunta ang mga tao sa mga karatig lugar, inilagay sa mga higaan ang mga may sakit at dinala kay Jesus saan man nila mabalitaang naroon siya. 56 Kahit saan siya pumunta, sa nayon, sa bayan, o sa kabukiran, dinadala ng mga tao ang mga may sakit sa kanila sa mga lugar na pinagtitipunan ng mga tao. Nagmamakaawa sila kay Jesus na kung maaari ay pahipuin niya ang mga may sakit kahit man lang sa laylayan[a] ng kanyang damit. At ang lahat ng nakahipo ay gumaling.
