The Question about the Sabbath
6 One sabbath[a] while Jesus[b] was going through the grainfields, his disciples plucked some heads of grain, rubbed them in their hands, and ate them. 2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful[c] on the sabbath?” 3 Jesus answered, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and gave some to his companions?” 5 Then he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the sabbath.”
The Man with a Withered Hand
6 On another sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught, and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. 7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched him to see whether he would cure on the sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him. 8 Even though he knew what they were thinking, he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Come and stand here.” He got up and stood there. 9 Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the sabbath, to save life or to destroy it?” 10 After looking around at all of them, he said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was restored.

6 (A)Avvenne che in un giorno di sabato[a] egli passava per i campi di grano. I suoi discepoli strappavano delle spighe e, sfregandole con le mani, mangiavano il grano. 2 E alcuni farisei dissero [loro]: «Perché fate ciò che non è lecito [fare] di sabato?» 3 Gesù rispose loro: «Non avete mai letto ciò che fece Davide, quand’ebbe fame, egli e coloro che erano con lui? 4 {Come} egli entrò nella casa di Dio e prese i pani di presentazione, ne mangiò e ne diede [anche] a quelli che erano con lui, benché non sia lecito mangiarne se non ai soli sacerdoti?» 5 E diceva loro: «Il Figlio dell’uomo è signore del sabato».

C’era lì un uomo che aveva la mano destra paralizzata[b]. 7 Gli scribi e i farisei lo osservavano per vedere se avrebbe fatto una guarigione di sabato, per trovare di che accusarlo[c]. 8 Ma egli conosceva i loro pensieri e disse all’uomo che aveva la mano paralizzata: «Àlzati e mettiti in mezzo!» Ed egli, alzatosi, stette in piedi. 9 Poi Gesù disse loro: «Io domando a voi[d]: è lecito, di sabato, far del bene o far del male? Salvare una persona o ucciderla[e]?» 10 E, girato lo sguardo intorno su tutti loro, disse all’uomo[f]: «Stendi la mano!» Egli lo fece e la sua mano fu guarita[g].

6 Es geschah aber, dass er am zweiten Sabbat nach dem ersten[a] durch die Kornfelder ging; und seine Jünger streiften Ähren ab, zerrieben sie mit den Händen und aßen sie.
2 Da sagten etliche von den Pharisäern zu ihnen: Warum tut ihr, was am Sabbat nicht zu tun erlaubt ist?
3 Und Jesus antwortete ihnen und sprach: Habt ihr nicht einmal gelesen, was David tat, als er und seine Gefährten hungrig waren?
4 Wie er in das Haus Gottes hineinging und die Schaubrote nahm und aß und auch seinen Gefährten davon gab, welche doch niemand essen darf als nur die Priester?
5 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Der Sohn des Menschen ist Herr auch über den Sabbat.

6 Es geschah aber auch an einem anderen Sabbat, dass er in eine Synagoge ging und lehrte; und dort war ein Mensch, dessen rechte Hand verdorrt war.
7 Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer lauerten ihm auf, ob er am Sabbat heilen würde, um einen Grund zur Anklage gegen ihn zu finden.
8 Er aber kannte ihre Gedanken und sprach zu dem Menschen, der die verdorrte Hand hatte: Steh auf und stelle dich in die Mitte! Da stand er auf und stellte sich dorthin.
9 Da sprach nun Jesus zu ihnen: Ich will euch etwas fragen: Darf man am Sabbat Gutes tun oder Böses tun, das Leben retten oder verderben?
10 Und indem er sie alle ringsumher ansah, sprach er zu dem Menschen: Strecke deine Hand aus! Der aber tat es, und seine Hand wurde wiederhergestellt [und war] gesund wie die andere.

6 Egyszer szombaton Jézus gabonaföldeken ment keresztül. A tanítványok téptek a kalászokból, kimorzsolták, és megették a magokat. 2 Néhány farizeus felelősségre vonta őket: „Miért tesztek olyat, amit Mózes Törvénye szerint tilos szombaton?”
3 De Jézus így válaszolt nekik: „Nem olvastátok, mit tett Dávid, amikor mind ő, mind az emberei megéheztek? 4 Bement Isten házába, elvette és megette az Istennek szentelt kenyereket, és adott belőle azoknak is, akik vele voltak. Pedig a Törvény szerint abból csak a papoknak szabad enniük.” 5 Majd így folytatta: „Az Emberfia úr a szombat ünnepe fölött is”.
Jézus szombaton is gyógyít(B)
6 Egy másik szombaton Jézus a zsinagógába ment, és tanított. Volt ott egy ember, akinek a jobb karja megbénult. 7 A törvénytanítók és farizeusok gyanakodva lesték Jézust, vajon szombaton is meggyógyítja-e a bénát. Ugyanis mindenáron valami ürügyet kerestek, hogy vádolhassák Jézust. 8 Ő azonban jól tudta, hogy mit gondolnak, mégis a bénához fordult: „Gyere ide, és állj a középre!” Az ember felkelt, és odament.
9 Jézus ekkor a többiekhez fordult: „Azt kérdezem tőletek, a Törvény szerint szombaton melyiket szabad: jót tenni valakivel, vagy ártani neki? Mi a helyes: megmenteni, vagy kioltani valakinek az életét?” 10 Körülnézett az ott ülőkön, majd ezt mondta a bénának: „Nyújtsd ki a karodat!” Ő kinyújtotta a jobb karját, amely abban a pillanatban meggyógyult.

6 Un jour de sabbat[a], Jésus traversait des champs de blé. Ses disciples cueillaient des épis et, après les avoir frottés dans leurs mains, en mangeaient les grains[b].
2 Des pharisiens dirent : Pourquoi faites-vous ce qui est interdit le jour du sabbat ?
3 Jésus prit la parole et leur dit : N’avez-vous pas lu ce qu’a fait David lorsque lui et ses compagnons eurent faim ? 4 Il est entré dans le sanctuaire de Dieu, a pris les pains exposés devant Dieu et en a mangé, puis il en a donné à ses hommes, alors que seuls les prêtres ont le droit d’en manger.
5 Et il ajouta : Le Fils de l’homme est maître du sabbat.
(Mt 12.9-14 ; Mc 3.1-6)
6 Un autre jour de sabbat, Jésus entra dans la synagogue et commença à enseigner. Or, il y avait là un homme dont la main droite était paralysée. 7 Les spécialistes de la Loi et les pharisiens surveillaient attentivement Jésus pour voir s’il ferait une guérison le jour du sabbat : ils espéraient ainsi trouver un motif d’accusation contre lui.
8 Mais Jésus, sachant ce qu’ils méditaient, dit à l’homme qui avait la main infirme : Lève-toi et tiens-toi là, au milieu !
L’homme se leva et se tint debout.
9 Alors Jésus s’adressa aux autres : J’ai une question à vous poser : Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien, ou de faire du mal ? Est-il permis de sauver une vie ou bien faut-il la laisser périr ?
10 Il balaya alors l’assistance du regard, puis il dit à cet homme[c] : Etends la main !
Ce qu’il fit. Et sa main fut guérie.
