⁶ and said to him, “To you ^(A)I will give all this authority and their glory, ^(B)for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will.

^2 (A)in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following ^(B)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in ^(C)the sons of disobedience—

³⁰ I will no longer talk much with you, for ^(A)the ruler of this world is coming. ^(B)He has no claim on me,

^31 (A)Now is the judgment of this world; now will ^(B)the ruler of this world ^(C)be cast out.

¹⁹ We know that we are from God, and ^(A)the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

² And he seized ^(A)the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and ^(B)bound him for a thousand years, ³ and threw him into ^(C)the pit, and shut it and ^(D)sealed it over him, so that ^(E)he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

⁷ Also it was allowed ^(A)to make war on the saints and to conquer them.^[a] And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,

² And the beast that I saw was ^(A)like a leopard; its feet were like ^(B)a bear's, and its mouth was like ^(C)a lion's mouth. And to it ^(D)the dragon gave his power and ^(E)his throne and great authority.

⁹ And ^(A)the great dragon was thrown down, ^(B)that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, ^(C)the deceiver of the whole world—^(D)he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
