⁴⁰ Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and ^(A)he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.

²³ and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and ^(A)lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well and live.”

³² That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or ^(A)oppressed by demons. ³³ And the whole city was gathered together at the door. ^34 (B)And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And ^(C)he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.

¹⁶ That evening they brought to him many who were ^(A)oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits ^(B)with a word and healed all who were sick. ^17 (C)This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: ^(D)“He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”

^12 (A)so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and ^(B)the evil spirits came out of them.

^15 (A)so that they even ^(B)carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by ^(C)at least his shadow might fall on some of them.

²¹ In that hour ^(A)he healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and ^(B)on many who were blind he bestowed sight. ²² And he answered them, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: ^(C)the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, ^(D)lepers^[a] are cleansed, and ^(E)the deaf hear, ^(F)the dead are raised up, ^(G)the poor have good news preached to them. ²³ And blessed is the one who is ^(H)not offended by me.”

⁵⁵ and ran about the whole region and began to bring ^(A)the sick people ^(B)on their beds to wherever they heard he was. ⁵⁶ And wherever he came, in villages, cities, or countryside, ^(C)they laid the sick in the marketplaces and implored him that they might touch even ^(D)the fringe of his garment. And ^(E)as many as touched it were made well.
