^52 (A)Then Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, “Have you come out, as against a ^(B)robber, with swords and clubs?

⁴ So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them.

²⁶ Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, ^(A)for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.

¹² While I was with them ^[a]in the world, ^(A)I kept them in ^[b]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and ^(B)none of them is ^[c]lost ^(C)except the son of ^[d]perdition, ^(D)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

^48 (A)Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? ⁴⁹ I was daily with you in the temple ^(B)teaching, and you did not seize Me. But ^(C)the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”

¹⁵ And Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the army, and said to them, “Take her outside ^[a]under guard, and slay with the sword whoever follows her.” For the priest had said, “Do not let her be killed in the house of the Lord.”
