³⁰ who will not get back very much more in this age and in the age to come eternal life.”^(A)

Job’s Fortunes Are Restored Twofold

¹⁰ And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends, and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.^(A)

⁵ Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he himself has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”^{(A) 6} So we can say with confidence,

¹⁷ Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To everyone who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.^(A)

³¹ Instead, seek his^[a] kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

³² “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.^(A)

³² Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.^(A)

⁶ Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment,^(A)

⁸ for, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.^(A)

²¹ So what fruit did you then gain from the things of which you now are ashamed? The end of those things is death.^{(A) 22} But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the fruit you have leads to sanctification, and the end is eternal life.^{(B) 23} For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.^(C)
