³² And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day ^(A)I shall be ^[a]perfected.’

Bringing Many Sons to Glory

¹⁰ For it was fitting for Him, ^(A)for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation ^(B)perfect through sufferings.

⁹ And ^(A)having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

^4 (A)I have glorified You on the earth. ^(B)I have finished the work ^(C)which You have given Me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorify Me together ^[a]with Yourself, with the glory ^(D)which I had with You before the world was.

⁸ The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to ^(A)stone You, and are You going there again?”

⁹ Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? ^(B)If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the ^(C)light of this world. ¹⁰ But ^(D)if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

³² Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”

⁴ O Israel, your prophets are ^(A)like foxes in the deserts.

²⁸ For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

⁸ Now when Herod saw Jesus, ^(A)he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because ^(B)he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. ⁹ Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him ^(C)nothing. ¹⁰ And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. ^11 (D)Then Herod, with his ^[a]men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.
