³² And he said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day ^(A)I finish my course.

¹⁰ For it ^(A)was fitting that he, ^(B)for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons ^(C)to glory, should make the ^(D)founder of their salvation ^(E)perfect through suffering.

⁹ And ^(A)being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

⁴ I ^(A)glorified you on earth, ^(B)having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. ⁵ And now, Father, ^(C)glorify me in your own presence with the glory ^(D)that I had with you ^(E)before the world existed.

⁸ The disciples said to him, ^(A)“Rabbi, ^(B)the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?” ⁹ Jesus answered, ^(C)“Are there not twelve hours in the day? ^(D)If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. ¹⁰ But ^(E)if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not ^(F)in him.”

³² Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?”

⁴ Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel.

²⁸ For the law appoints men ^(A)in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made ^(B)perfect forever.

⁸ When Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, ^(A)for he had long desired to see him, ^(B)because he had heard about him, and he was hoping ^(C)to see some sign done by him. ⁹ So he questioned him at some length, but he made no answer. ¹⁰ The chief priests and the scribes stood by, vehemently accusing him. ¹¹ And Herod with his soldiers ^(D)treated him with contempt and ^(E)mocked him. Then, ^(F)arraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate.
