¹⁹ And after summoning ^[a]two of his disciples, John sent them to ^(A)the Lord, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or are we to ^[b]look for another?”

The Seventy-two Sent Out

10 Now after this ^(A)the Lord appointed ^[a]seventy-two ^(B)others, and sent them ^(C)in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

Instruction about Prayer

11 It happened that while ^[a]Jesus was praying in a certain place, when He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.”

³⁹ But ^(A)the Lord said to him, “Now ^(B)you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the dish; but your inside is full of greed and wickedness.

⁴² And ^(A)the Lord said, “^(B)Who then is the faithful and sensible ^(C)steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?

¹⁵ But ^(A)the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, ^(B)does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it?

^5 (A)The apostles said to ^(B)the Lord, “Increase our faith!” ⁶ But ^(C)the Lord said, “If you ^[a]had faith ^[b]the size of ^(D)a mustard seed, you could say to this ^(E)mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would ^[c]obey you.

⁶ And ^(A)the Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge *said;

⁸ But Zaccheus stopped and said to ^(A)the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I am giving to the poor, and if I have ^(B)extorted anything from anyone, I am giving back ^(C)four times as much.”
