33 And they said to Him, “(A)The disciples of John often fast and offer prayers, the disciples of the Pharisees also do [a]the same, but Yours eat and drink.”
33 They said to him, “John’s disciples(B) often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking.”
3 Then, when they had fasted and (A)prayed and (B)laid their hands on them, (C)they sent them away.
3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them(A) and sent them off.(B)
23 When (A)they had appointed (B)elders for them in every church, having (C)prayed with fasting, they (D)commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
23 Paul and Barnabas appointed elders[a](A) for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting,(B) committed them to the Lord,(C) in whom they had put their trust.
5 Now she who is a (A)widow indeed and who has been left alone, (B)has fixed her hope on God and continues in (C)entreaties and prayers night and day.
5 The widow who is really in need(A) and left all alone puts her hope in God(B) and continues night and day to pray(C) and to ask God for help.
