⁸ Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance. And don’t start saying to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’^(A) for I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones!

¹⁶ Satan^(A) has bound^(B) this woman, a daughter of Abraham,^(C) for 18 years—shouldn’t she be untied from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”

⁷ then understand that those who have faith are Abraham’s sons.^(A)

²⁹ And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs^(A) according to the promise.^(B)
