²¹But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

²⁵and released the one they were asking for, who had been thrown into prison for rebellion and murder. But he handed Jesus over to their will.^(A)

²⁵He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.

³⁰The God of our fathers raised up Jesus,^(A) whom you had murdered by hanging Him on a tree.^(B)

³⁰The God of our ancestors^(A) raised Jesus from the dead^(B)—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.^(C)
