New Matthew Bible
47 The servant that knew his master’s will and did not prepare himself, nor do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, and yet committed things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. For to whom much is given, of him will much be required. And to whom men commit much, the more will they ask of him.
49 I have come to send fire on earth. And what is my desire, but that it were already kindled?

47 “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.(A) 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows.(B) From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
