6 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
2 "Jos joku tekee rikkomuksen ja on uskoton Herraa kohtaan kieltämällä saaneensa lähimmäiseltään, mitä tämä on hänen haltuunsa antanut tai hänen hoitoonsa uskonut, tahi mitä hän itse on väkisin ottanut tai vääryydellä anastanut lähimmäiseltään,
3 tahi jos hän on löytänyt kadotetun esineen ja kieltää sen, tahi vannoo väärin missä asiassa tahansa, jossa ihminen helposti rikkoo,
4 niin hän, jos hän näin on rikkonut ja tullut vikapääksi, antakoon takaisin, mitä hän väkisin on ottanut tai vääryydellä anastanut, tahi mitä hänen haltuunsa oli uskottu, tahi kadotetun esineen, jonka hän oli löytänyt,
5 kaiken, jonka tähden hän oli väärin vannonut; ja korvatkoon sen täyteen määräänsä ja pankoon siihen vielä lisäksi viidennen osan sen arvosta. Sille, jonka oma se on, hän antakoon sen sinä päivänä, jona hän vikauhrinsa toimittaa.
6 Mutta hyvityksenä Herralle hän tuokoon papille vikauhriksi sinun arviosi mukaisen, virheettömän oinaan pikkukarjasta.
7 Kun pappi näin on toimittanut hänelle sovituksen Herran edessä, annetaan hänelle anteeksi kaikki, mitä hän on tehnyt sellaista, josta hän on tullut vikapääksi."
8 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
9 "Käske Aaronia ja hänen poikiansa ja sano: Tämä on laki polttouhrista. Polttouhri olkoon alttarin liedellä koko yön aamuun asti, ja tulta pidettäköön siten vireillä alttarilla.
10 Ja pappi pukeutukoon pellavapukuunsa ja pukeutukoon pellavakaatioihin peittääkseen häpynsä, ja korjatkoon pois tuhan, joksi tuli on kuluttanut polttouhrin alttarilla, ja pankoon sen alttarin viereen.
11 Ja sitten hän riisukoon vaatteensa ja pukeutukoon toisiin vaatteisiin, ja vieköön tuhan leirin ulkopuolelle puhtaaseen paikkaan.
12 Ja tulta pidettäköön siten vireillä alttarilla älköönkä se koskaan sammuko; ja pappi sytyttäköön alttarilla halot joka aamu ja asettakoon sen päälle polttouhrin ja polttakoon sen päällä yhteysuhrin rasvat.
13 Tuli palakoon aina alttarilla älköönkä koskaan sammuko.
14 Ja tämä on laki ruokauhrista: Aaronin pojat tuokoot sen Herran eteen, alttarin ääreen.
15 Ja pappi erottakoon ruokauhrista kourallisen lestyjä jauhoja ja öljyä ja kaiken suitsukkeen, joka on ruokauhrin päällä, ja polttakoon alttarilla alttariuhriosan suloiseksi tuoksuksi Herralle.
16 Ja mikä siitä jää tähteeksi, sen syököön Aaron poikinensa; happamatonna se syötäköön pyhässä paikassa, ilmestysmajan esipihalla he sen syökööt.
17 Älköön sitä leivottako hapatettuna. Heidän osakseen minä olen sen uhreistani antanut; se on korkeasti-pyhää niinkuin syntiuhri ja vikauhrikin.
18 Jokainen miehenpuoli Aaronin jälkeläisistä syököön siitä. Tämä olkoon heidän ikuinen osuutensa Herran uhreista sukupolvesta sukupolveen. Jokainen, joka niihin koskee, on pyhäkölle pyhitetty."
19 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
20 "Tämä olkoon Aaronin ja hänen poikiensa uhrilahja, joka heidän on tuotava Herralle voitelupäivänänsä: kymmenes osa eefa-mittaa lestyjä jauhoja jokapäiväiseksi ruokauhriksi, puolet aamulla ja puolet illalla.
21 Leivinlevyllä se valmistettakoon öljyyn leivottuna; tuo se hyvin sotkettuna ja uhraa se palasiksi paloiteltuna ruokauhrina suloiseksi tuoksuksi Herralle.
22 Ja pappi, joka hänen pojistaan on hänen sijaansa voideltu, toimittakoon sen. Se on Herran ikuinen osuus; se poltettakoon kokonaisuhrina.
23 Jokainen papin ruokauhri on kokonaisuhri; älköön sitä syötäkö."
24 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
25 "Puhu Aaronille ja hänen pojillensa ja sano: Tämä on laki syntiuhrista. Siinä paikassa, missä polttouhri teurastetaan, teurastettakoon myös syntiuhri Herran edessä; ja se on korkeasti-pyhä.
26 Pappi, joka syntiuhrin uhraa, syököön sen; pyhässä paikassa se syötäköön, ilmestysmajan esipihalla.
27 Jokainen, joka sen lihaan koskee, on pyhäkölle pyhitetty, ja jos sen verta on pirskunut vaatteille, niin pese pyhässä paikassa se, mihin sitä on pirskunut.
28 Ja saviastia, jossa se keitetään, rikottakoon; jos se on keitetty vaskiastiassa, hangattakoon astia puhtaaksi ja huuhdottakoon vedellä.
29 Jokainen miehenpuoli papeista saakoon sitä syödä; se on korkeasti-pyhää.
30 Mutta mitään syntiuhria, jonka verta viedään ilmestysmajaan sovituksen toimittamista varten pyhäkössä, älköön syötäkö, vaan se poltettakoon tulessa."
7 "Ja tämä on laki vikauhrista. Se on korkeasti-pyhää.
2 Siinä paikassa, missä polttouhri teurastetaan, teurastettakoon myös vikauhri, ja sen veri vihmottakoon alttarille ympärinsä.
3 Ja kaikki sen rasva uhrattakoon, sekä rasvahäntä että sisälmyksiä peittävä rasva,
4 ja molemmat munuaiset ynnä niiden päällä lantiolihaksissa oleva rasva ja maksanlisäke, joka on irroitettava munuaisten luota.
5 Ja pappi polttakoon ne alttarilla uhrina Herralle; se on vikauhri.
6 Jokainen miehenpuoli papeista saakoon sitä syödä. Se syötäköön pyhässä paikassa; se on korkeasti-pyhää.
7 Mitä on säädetty syntiuhrista, koskee vikauhriakin; laki on sama molemmista. Se olkoon sen papin oma, joka sillä sovituksen toimittaa.
8 Ja pappi, joka toimittaa jonkun puolesta polttouhrin, saakoon uhraamansa polttouhriteuraan nahan.
9 Ja jokainen ruokauhri, joka paistetaan uunissa, ja jokainen pannussa tai leivinlevyllä valmistettu, olkoon sen papin oma, joka uhrin toimittaa.
10 Mutta jokainen muu ruokauhri, olipa siihen sekoitettu öljyä tai olipa se kuiva, olkoon kaikkien Aaronin poikien oma, yhden niinkuin toisenkin.
11 Ja tämä on laki yhteysuhrista, joka Herralle tuodaan:
12 Jos joku tuo sen kiitokseksi, niin tuokoon kiitosuhriteuraan lisäksi öljyyn leivottuja happamattomia kakkuja, öljyllä voideltuja happamattomia ohukaisia ja sekoitettuja lestyjä jauhoja öljyyn leivottuina kakkuina.
13 Hapatetusta taikinasta leivottujen kakkujen ohella hän tuokoon tämän uhrilahjansa kiitosuhrina uhratun yhteysuhriteuraan lisäksi.
14 Ja hän tuokoon siitä yhden kutakin uhrilahja-lajia anniksi Herralle; se olkoon sen papin oma, joka vihmoo yhteysuhrin veren.
15 Ja kiitosuhrina uhratun yhteysuhriteuraan liha syötäköön sinä päivänä, jona se on uhrattu, älköönkä mitään siitä jätettäkö seuraavaan aamuun.
16 Mutta jos uhrilahjana tuotu teuras on lupausuhri tai vapaaehtoinen uhri, syötäköön se sinä päivänä, jona se on tuotu; jos kuitenkin jotakin siitä jää tähteeksi, saatakoon se syödä seuraavana päivänä.
17 Mutta mitä uhrilihasta on tähteenä kolmantena päivänä, se poltettakoon tulessa.
18 Jos yhteysuhriteuraan lihaa syödään kolmantena päivänä, ei se ole otollinen eikä sitä lueta tuojan hyväksi, vaan se on saastaista; jokainen, joka sitä syö, joutuu syynalaiseksi.
19 Sitä lihaa, joka on sattunut saastaiseen, mihin tahansa, älköön syötäkö, vaan se poltettakoon tulessa; muuten saakoon jokainen, joka on puhdas, syödä yhteysuhriteuraan lihaa.
20 Mutta jokainen, joka saastaisena ollessaan syö yhteysuhriteuraan lihaa, joka on Herran oma, hävitettäköön kansastansa.
21 Jos joku koskee johonkin saastaiseen, mihin tahansa, joko ihmisen saastaan tahi saastaiseen karjaeläimeen tai mihin inhottavaan saastaan tahansa, ja syö yhteysuhriteuraan lihaa, joka on Herran oma, hänet hävitettäköön kansastansa."
22 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
23 "Puhu israelilaisille ja sano: Älkää syökö mitään härän, lampaan tai vuohen rasvaa.
24 Itsestään kuolleen tai kuoliaaksi raadellun eläimen rasva käytettäköön kaikkinaisiin tarpeisiin; mutta älkää sitä syökö.
25 Sillä jokainen, joka syö sen eläimen rasvaa, josta tuodaan Herralle uhri, hävitettäköön kansastansa.
26 Älkää myöskään, missä asuttekin, syökö mitään verta, ei lintujen eikä karjaeläinten.
27 Jokainen, joka syö verta, minkälaista hyvänsä, hävitettäköön kansastansa."
28 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
29 "Puhu israelilaisille ja sano: Joka tuo Herralle yhteysuhrinsa, tuokoon Herralle uhrilahjan tästä yhteysuhristaan.
30 Omin käsin hän tuokoon Herran uhrit; tuokoon rasvan ynnä rintalihan, ja toimitettakoon niiden heilutus Herran edessä.
31 Ja pappi polttakoon rasvan alttarilla, mutta rintaliha olkoon Aaronin ja hänen poikiensa oma.
32 Ja oikea reisi antakaa papille anniksi yhteysuhriteuraistanne.
33 Se Aaronin pojista, joka uhraa yhteysuhrin veren ja rasvan, saakoon oikean reiden osaksensa.
34 Sillä minä olen ottanut heilutus-rintalihan ja anniksi annetun reiden israelilaisilta heidän yhteysuhriteuraistansa ja antanut ne pappi Aaronille ja hänen pojillensa ikuiseksi osuudeksi israelilaisilta."
35 Tämä on Aaronin ja hänen poikiensa osa Herran uhreista, joka heille määrättiin sinä päivänä, jona hän toi heidät pappeina palvelemaan Herraa;
36 sen osan Herra käski sinä päivänä, jona hän heidät voiteli, israelilaisten antaa heille ikuiseksi osuudeksi sukupolvesta sukupolveen.
37 Tämä on se laki polttouhrista, ruokauhrista, syntiuhrista, vikauhrista, vihkiäisuhrista ja yhteysuhrista,
38 jonka lain Herra antoi Moosekselle Siinain vuorella sinä päivänä, jona hän antoi israelilaisille käskyn tuoda uhrilahjansa Herralle Siinain erämaassa.
8 Ja Herra puhui Moosekselle sanoen:
2 "Ota Aaron ja hänen poikansa ynnä heidän vaatteensa ja voiteluöljy sekä syntiuhrimullikka ja ne kaksi oinasta ja kori, jossa happamattomat leivät ovat,
3 ja kokoa kaikki seurakunta ilmestysmajan oven eteen".
4 Ja Mooses teki, niinkuin Herra oli häntä käskenyt, ja seurakunta kokoontui ilmestysmajan oven eteen.
5 Ja Mooses sanoi seurakunnalle: "Näin on Herra käskenyt tehdä".
6 Ja Mooses toi Aaronin ja hänen poikansa esille ja pesi heidät vedellä.
7 Sitten hän pani hänen yllensä ihokkaan ja vyötti hänet vyöllä ja puki hänet viittaan ja pani kasukan hänen päälleen ja vyötti hänet kasukan vyöllä ja sitoi sen hänen ympärilleen
8 ja asetti hänen rintaansa rintakilven ja pani kilpeen uurimin ja tummimin
9 ja pani käärelakin hänen päähänsä ja pani käärelakkiin, sen etupuolelle, kultaisen otsakoristeen, pyhän otsalehden, niinkuin Herra oli Moosesta käskenyt.
10 Ja Mooses otti voiteluöljyn ja voiteli asumuksen ja kaikki, mitä siinä oli, ja pyhitti ne;
11 ja hän pirskoitti sitä seitsemän kertaa alttarille ja voiteli alttarin kaikkine kaluineen ynnä altaan jalustoineen pyhittääkseen ne.
12 Ja hän vuodatti voiteluöljyä Aaronin päähän ja voiteli hänet pyhittääkseen hänet.
13 Ja Mooses toi esille Aaronin pojat ja puki heidän yllensä ihokkaat ja vyötti heidät vyöllä ja sitoi päähineet heidän päähänsä, niinkuin Herra oli Moosesta käskenyt.
14 Ja hän toi esille syntiuhrimullikan, ja Aaron ja hänen poikansa laskivat kätensä syntiuhrimullikan pään päälle.
15 Sitten Mooses teurasti sen ja otti sen verta ja siveli sitä sormellansa alttarin sarviin yltympäri ja puhdisti alttarin; ja muun veren hän vuodatti alttarin juurelle ja pyhitti sen toimittamalla sen sovituksen.
16 Ja Mooses otti kaiken sisälmysten päällä olevan rasvan ja maksanlisäkkeen ja molemmat munuaiset rasvoineen ja poltti ne alttarilla.
17 Mutta mullikan nahkoinensa, lihoinensa ja rapoinensa hän poltti tulessa leirin ulkopuolella, niinkuin Herra oli Moosesta käskenyt.
18 Ja hän toi esille polttouhrioinaan, ja Aaron ja hänen poikansa laskivat kätensä oinaan pään päälle.
19 Ja Mooses teurasti sen ja vihmoi veren alttarille ympärinsä
20 ja leikkeli oinaan määräkappaleiksi; sitten Mooses poltti pään ynnä kappaleet ja rasvan.
21 Mutta sisälmykset ja jalat hän pesi vedessä; ja niin Mooses poltti koko oinaan alttarilla. Se oli polttouhri suloiseksi tuoksuksi, uhri Herralle, niinkuin Herra oli Moosekselle käskyn antanut.
22 Ja hän toi esille toisen oinaan, vihkiäisoinaan, ja Aaron ja hänen poikansa laskivat kätensä oinaan pään päälle.
23 Ja Mooses teurasti sen ja otti sen verta ja siveli sitä Aaronin oikean korvan lehteen ja oikean käden peukaloon ja oikean jalan isoonvarpaaseen.
24 Ja Mooses toi Aaronin pojat esille ja siveli verta heidän oikean korvansa lehteen ja oikean kätensä peukaloon ja heidän oikean jalkansa isoonvarpaaseen, mutta vihmoi muun veren alttarille ympärinsä.
25 Ja hän otti rasvan ja rasvahännän ja kaiken sisälmysten päällä olevan rasvan ja maksanlisäkkeen ja molemmat munuaiset rasvoineen ja oikean reiden.
26 Sitten hän otti happamattomien leipien korista, joka oli Herran edessä, yhden happamattoman kakun ja yhden öljyyn leivotun kakun ja yhden ohukaisen ja pani ne rasvojen ja oikean reiden päälle
27 ja pani kaikki nämä Aaronin käsiin ja hänen poikiensa käsiin, ja toimitutti niiden heilutuksen Herran edessä.
28 Sitten Mooses otti ne heidän käsistänsä ja poltti ne alttarilla polttouhrin päällä; tämä oli vihkiäisuhri suloiseksi tuoksuksi, uhri Herralle.
29 Ja Mooses otti rintalihan ja toimitti sen heilutuksen Herran edessä; vihkiäisoinaasta tuli tämä Mooseksen osaksi, niinkuin Herra oli Moosekselle käskyn antanut.
30 Ja Mooses otti voiteluöljyä ja verta, jota oli alttarilla, ja pirskoitti sitä Aaronin ja hänen vaatteidensa päälle ja samoin hänen poikiensa ja heidän vaatteidensa päälle ja pyhitti niin Aaronin ja hänen vaatteensa ynnä hänen poikansa ja heidän vaatteensa.
31 Ja Mooses sanoi Aaronille ja hänen pojillensa: "Keittäkää liha ilmestysmajan ovella ja syökää se siinä ynnä leipä, joka on vihkiäisuhriin kuuluvassa korissa, niinkuin minä olen käskenyt ja sanonut: Aaron poikinensa syököön sen.
32 Mutta mitä jää tähteeksi lihasta ja leivästä, se polttakaa tulessa.
33 Seitsemään päivään älkää lähtekö ilmestysmajan ovelta, älkää ennenkuin teidän vihkimispäivänne ovat kuluneet umpeen, sillä seitsemän päivää kestää teidän vihkimisenne.
34 Niinkuin on tehty tänä päivänä, niin on Herra käskenyt vastakin tehdä toimittaakseen teille sovituksen.
35 Ja olkaa seitsemän päivää ilmestysmajan ovella, päivät ja yöt, ja toimittakaa Herran palvelustehtävät, ettette kuolisi; sillä niin on minulle käsky annettu."
36 Ja Aaron ja hänen poikansa tekivät kaiken, mitä Herra oli Mooseksen kautta käskenyt.

6 [a]The Lord said to Moses: 2 “If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Lord(A) by deceiving a neighbor(B) about something entrusted to them or left in their care(C) or about something stolen, or if they cheat(D) their neighbor, 3 or if they find lost property and lie about it,(E) or if they swear falsely(F) about any such sin that people may commit— 4 when they sin in any of these ways and realize their guilt, they must return(G) what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, 5 or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution(H) in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering.(I) 6 And as a penalty they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering,(J) a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value.(K) 7 In this way the priest will make atonement(L) for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for any of the things they did that made them guilty.”
The Burnt Offering
8 The Lord said to Moses: 9 “Give Aaron and his sons this command: ‘These are the regulations for the burnt offering(M): The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.(N) 10 The priest shall then put on his linen clothes,(O) with linen undergarments next to his body,(P) and shall remove the ashes(Q) of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar. 11 Then he is to take off these clothes and put on others, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean.(R) 12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood(S) and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat(T) of the fellowship offerings(U) on it. 13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.
The Grain Offering
14 “‘These are the regulations for the grain offering:(V) Aaron’s sons are to bring it before the Lord, in front of the altar. 15 The priest is to take a handful of the finest flour and some olive oil, together with all the incense(W) on the grain offering,(X) and burn the memorial[b] portion(Y) on the altar as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 16 Aaron and his sons(Z) shall eat the rest(AA) of it, but it is to be eaten without yeast(AB) in the sanctuary area;(AC) they are to eat it in the courtyard(AD) of the tent of meeting.(AE) 17 It must not be baked with yeast; I have given it as their share(AF) of the food offerings presented to me.(AG) Like the sin offering[c] and the guilt offering, it is most holy.(AH) 18 Any male descendant of Aaron may eat it.(AI) For all generations to come(AJ) it is his perpetual share(AK) of the food offerings presented to the Lord. Whatever touches them will become holy.[d](AL)’”
19 The Lord also said to Moses, 20 “This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to bring to the Lord on the day he[e] is anointed:(AM) a tenth of an ephah[f](AN) of the finest flour(AO) as a regular grain offering,(AP) half of it in the morning and half in the evening. 21 It must be prepared with oil on a griddle;(AQ) bring it well-mixed and present the grain offering broken[g] in pieces as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 22 The son who is to succeed him as anointed priest(AR) shall prepare it. It is the Lord’s perpetual share and is to be burned completely.(AS) 23 Every grain offering of a priest shall be burned completely; it must not be eaten.”
The Sin Offering
24 The Lord said to Moses, 25 “Say to Aaron and his sons: ‘These are the regulations for the sin offering:(AT) The sin offering is to be slaughtered before the Lord(AU) in the place(AV) the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it shall eat it; it is to be eaten in the sanctuary area,(AW) in the courtyard(AX) of the tent of meeting.(AY) 27 Whatever touches any of the flesh will become holy,(AZ) and if any of the blood is spattered on a garment, you must wash it in the sanctuary area. 28 The clay pot(BA) the meat is cooked in must be broken; but if it is cooked in a bronze pot, the pot is to be scoured and rinsed with water. 29 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it;(BB) it is most holy.(BC) 30 But any sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement(BD) in the Holy Place(BE) must not be eaten; it must be burned up.(BF)
The Guilt Offering
7 “‘These are the regulations for the guilt offering,(BG) which is most holy: 2 The guilt offering is to be slaughtered in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, and its blood is to be splashed against the sides of the altar. 3 All its fat(BH) shall be offered: the fat tail and the fat that covers the internal organs, 4 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which is to be removed with the kidneys.(BI) 5 The priest shall burn them on the altar(BJ) as a food offering presented to the Lord. It is a guilt offering. 6 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it,(BK) but it must be eaten in the sanctuary area; it is most holy.(BL)
7 “‘The same law applies to both the sin offering[h](BM) and the guilt offering:(BN) They belong to the priest(BO) who makes atonement with them.(BP) 8 The priest who offers a burnt offering for anyone may keep its hide(BQ) for himself. 9 Every grain offering baked in an oven(BR) or cooked in a pan(BS) or on a griddle(BT) belongs to the priest who offers it, 10 and every grain offering, whether mixed with olive oil or dry, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.
The Fellowship Offering
11 “‘These are the regulations for the fellowship offering anyone may present to the Lord:
12 “‘If they offer it as an expression of thankfulness, then along with this thank offering(BU) they are to offer thick loaves(BV) made without yeast(BW) and with olive oil mixed in, thin loaves(BX) made without yeast and brushed with oil,(BY) and thick loaves of the finest flour well-kneaded and with oil mixed in. 13 Along with their fellowship offering of thanksgiving(BZ) they are to present an offering with thick loaves of bread made with yeast.(CA) 14 They are to bring one of each kind as an offering, a contribution to the Lord; it belongs to the priest who splashes the blood of the fellowship offering against the altar. 15 The meat of their fellowship offering of thanksgiving must be eaten on the day it is offered; they must leave none of it till morning.(CB)
16 “‘If, however, their offering is the result of a vow(CC) or is a freewill offering,(CD) the sacrifice shall be eaten on the day they offer it, but anything left over may be eaten on the next day.(CE) 17 Any meat of the sacrifice left over till the third day must be burned up.(CF) 18 If any meat of the fellowship offering(CG) is eaten on the third day, the one who offered it will not be accepted.(CH) It will not be reckoned(CI) to their credit, for it has become impure; the person who eats any of it will be held responsible.(CJ)
19 “‘Meat that touches anything ceremonially unclean must not be eaten; it must be burned up. As for other meat, anyone ceremonially clean may eat it. 20 But if anyone who is unclean(CK) eats any meat of the fellowship offering belonging to the Lord, they must be cut off from their people.(CL) 21 Anyone who touches something unclean(CM)—whether human uncleanness or an unclean animal or any unclean creature that moves along the ground[i]—and then eats any of the meat of the fellowship offering belonging to the Lord must be cut off from their people.’”
Eating Fat and Blood Forbidden
22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Do not eat any of the fat of cattle, sheep or goats.(CN) 24 The fat of an animal found dead or torn by wild animals(CO) may be used for any other purpose, but you must not eat it. 25 Anyone who eats the fat of an animal from which a food offering may be[j] presented to the Lord must be cut off from their people. 26 And wherever you live, you must not eat the blood(CP) of any bird or animal. 27 Anyone who eats blood(CQ) must be cut off from their people.’”
The Priests’ Share
28 The Lord said to Moses, 29 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who brings a fellowship offering to the Lord is to bring part of it as their sacrifice to the Lord. 30 With their own hands they are to present the food offering to the Lord; they are to bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast before the Lord as a wave offering.(CR) 31 The priest shall burn the fat on the altar,(CS) but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.(CT) 32 You are to give the right thigh of your fellowship offerings to the priest as a contribution.(CU) 33 The son of Aaron who offers the blood and the fat of the fellowship offering shall have the right thigh as his share. 34 From the fellowship offerings of the Israelites, I have taken the breast that is waved and the thigh(CV) that is presented and have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons(CW) as their perpetual share from the Israelites.’”
35 This is the portion of the food offerings presented to the Lord that were allotted to Aaron and his sons on the day they were presented to serve the Lord as priests. 36 On the day they were anointed,(CX) the Lord commanded that the Israelites give this to them as their perpetual share for the generations to come.
37 These, then, are the regulations for the burnt offering,(CY) the grain offering,(CZ) the sin offering, the guilt offering, the ordination offering(DA) and the fellowship offering, 38 which the Lord gave Moses(DB) at Mount Sinai(DC) in the Desert of Sinai on the day he commanded the Israelites to bring their offerings to the Lord.(DD)
The Ordination of Aaron and His Sons(DE)
8 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Bring Aaron and his sons,(DF) their garments,(DG) the anointing oil,(DH) the bull for the sin offering,[k](DI) the two rams(DJ) and the basket containing bread made without yeast,(DK) 3 and gather the entire assembly(DL) at the entrance to the tent of meeting.” 4 Moses did as the Lord commanded him, and the assembly gathered at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
5 Moses said to the assembly, “This is what the Lord has commanded to be done.(DM)” 6 Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.(DN) 7 He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe and put the ephod on him. He also fastened the ephod with a decorative waistband, which he tied around him.(DO) 8 He placed the breastpiece(DP) on him and put the Urim and Thummim(DQ) in the breastpiece. 9 Then he placed the turban(DR) on Aaron’s head and set the gold plate, the sacred emblem,(DS) on the front of it, as the Lord commanded Moses.(DT)
10 Then Moses took the anointing oil(DU) and anointed(DV) the tabernacle(DW) and everything in it, and so consecrated them. 11 He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times, anointing the altar and all its utensils and the basin with its stand, to consecrate them.(DX) 12 He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed(DY) him to consecrate him.(DZ) 13 Then he brought Aaron’s sons(EA) forward, put tunics(EB) on them, tied sashes around them and fastened caps on them, as the Lord commanded Moses.(EC)
14 He then presented the bull(ED) for the sin offering,(EE) and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.(EF) 15 Moses slaughtered the bull and took some of the blood,(EG) and with his finger he put it on all the horns of the altar(EH) to purify the altar.(EI) He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. So he consecrated it to make atonement for it.(EJ) 16 Moses also took all the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, and both kidneys and their fat, and burned it on the altar. 17 But the bull with its hide and its flesh and its intestines(EK) he burned up outside the camp,(EL) as the Lord commanded Moses.
18 He then presented the ram(EM) for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. 19 Then Moses slaughtered the ram and splashed the blood against the sides of the altar. 20 He cut the ram into pieces and burned the head, the pieces and the fat.(EN) 21 He washed the internal organs and the legs with water and burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.
22 He then presented the other ram, the ram for the ordination,(EO) and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.(EP) 23 Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.(EQ) 24 Moses also brought Aaron’s sons forward and put some of the blood on the lobes of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet. Then he splashed blood against the sides of the altar.(ER) 25 After that, he took the fat(ES), the fat tail, all the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, both kidneys and their fat and the right thigh. 26 And from the basket of bread made without yeast, which was before the Lord, he took one thick loaf, one thick loaf with olive oil mixed in, and one thin loaf,(ET) and he put these on the fat portions and on the right thigh. 27 He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and they waved them before the Lord(EU) as a wave offering. 28 Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar on top of the burnt offering as an ordination offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord. 29 Moses also took the breast, which was his share of the ordination ram,(EV) and waved it before the Lord as a wave offering, as the Lord commanded Moses.
30 Then Moses(EW) took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood from the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments(EX) and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated(EY) Aaron and his garments and his sons and their garments.
31 Moses then said to Aaron and his sons, “Cook the meat at the entrance to the tent of meeting(EZ) and eat it there with the bread from the basket of ordination offerings, as I was commanded: ‘Aaron and his sons are to eat it.’ 32 Then burn up the rest of the meat and the bread. 33 Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, for your ordination will last seven days.(FA) 34 What has been done today was commanded by the Lord(FB) to make atonement for you. 35 You must stay at the entrance to the tent of meeting day and night for seven days and do what the Lord requires,(FC) so you will not die; for that is what I have been commanded.”
36 So Aaron and his sons did everything the Lord commanded through Moses.
