²⁹ You shall lay your hand on the head of the purification offering; the purification offering shall be slaughtered at the place of the burnt offering.^(A)

²⁴ He shall lay his hand on the head of the goat; it shall be slaughtered at the spot where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the Lord; it is a purification offering.

⁴ He shall bring the bull to the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord and lay his hand on the head of the bull; the bull shall be slaughtered before the Lord.^(A)

¹⁵ The elders of the congregation shall lay their hands on the head of the bull before the Lord, and the bull shall be slaughtered before the Lord.^(A)

⁴ You shall lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be acceptable on your behalf as atonement for you.^(A)

⁴ For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.^{(A) 5} Consequently, when Christ^[a] came into the world, he said,

⁸ When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), ⁹ then he added, “See, I have come to do your will.” He abolishes the first in order to establish the second. ¹⁰ And it is by God’s will^[c] that we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.^(D)

¹¹ And every priest stands day after day at his service, offering again and again the same sacrifices that can never take away sins.^{(E) 12} But when Christ^[d] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, “he sat down at the right hand of God,” ¹³ and since then has been waiting “until his enemies would be made a footstool for his feet.”^{(F) 14} For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

³³ You shall lay your hand on the head of the purification offering; it shall be slaughtered as a purification offering at the spot where the burnt offering is slaughtered.
