¹⁰ ‘He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was ^(A)poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not ^(B)uncover^[a] his head nor tear his clothes;

⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons, “Do not ^[a]uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and ^(A)wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, ^[b]bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled. ^7 (B)You shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die, ^(C)for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you.” And they did according to the word of Moses.

^32 (A)And the priest, who is anointed and ^(B)consecrated to minister as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the holy garments;

^65 (A)Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His ^(B)blasphemy!

²⁵ So the congregation shall deliver the manslayer from the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall return him to the city of refuge where he had fled, and ^(A)he shall remain there until the death of the high priest ^(B)who was anointed with the holy oil.

¹² And he ^(A)poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to consecrate him.

²⁹ “And the ^(A)holy garments of Aaron ^(B)shall be his sons’ after him, ^(C)to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them. ^30 (D)That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for ^(E)seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the ^[a]holy place.

¹² Afterward Mordecai went back to the king’s gate. But Haman ^(A)hurried to his house, mourning ^(B)and with his head covered.
