¹³ And every offering of your grain offering ^(A)you shall season with salt; you shall not allow ^(B)the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. ^(C)With all your offerings you shall offer salt.

²⁴ When you offer them before the Lord, ^(A)the priests shall throw salt on them, and they will offer them up as a burnt offering to the Lord.

Believers Are Salt and Light^(A)

¹³ “You are the salt of the earth; ^(B)but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

⁶ Let your speech always be ^(A)with grace, ^(B)seasoned with salt, ^(C)that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

Tasteless Salt Is Worthless

⁴⁹ “For everyone will be ^(A)seasoned with fire, ^(B)and^[a] every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. ^50 (C)Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? ^(D)Have salt in yourselves, and ^(E)have peace with one another.”

⁵ Should you not know that the Lord God of Israel ^(A)gave the dominion over Israel to David forever, to him and his sons, ^(B)by a covenant of salt?

¹⁹ “All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to the Lord, I have given to you and your sons and daughters with you as an ordinance forever; ^(A)it is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord with you and your descendants with you.”
