¹¹ For the ^(A)life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar ^(B)to make atonement for your souls; for ^(C)it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’

²² And according to the law almost all things are ^[a]purified with blood, and ^(A)without shedding of blood there is no ^[b]remission.

⁷ But if we ^(A)walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and ^(B)the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

²⁵ whom God set forth ^(A)as a ^[a]propitiation ^(B)by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over ^(C)the sins that were previously committed,

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, ^(A)the faithful ^(B)witness, the ^(C)firstborn from the dead, and ^(D)the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him ^(E)who ^[a]loved us ^(F)and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

^14 (A)in whom we have redemption ^[a]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

²⁴ And He said to them, “This is My blood of the ^[a]new covenant, which is shed for many.

¹² Therefore Jesus also, that He might ^[a]sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

^4 (A)But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
