³⁰ For on this day shall atonement be made for you ^(A)to cleanse you. You shall be clean before the Lord from all your sins.

^8 (A)I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, ^(B)and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me.

²⁶ that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by ^(A)the washing of water ^(B)with the word,

Christ's Sacrifice Once for All

10 For since the law has but ^(A)a shadow ^(B)of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, ^(C)it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near. ² Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins?

⁷ But ^(A)if we walk in the light, ^(B)as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and ^(C)the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. ^8 (D)If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and ^(E)the truth is not in us. ^9 (F)If we confess our sins, he is ^(G)faithful and just to forgive us our sins and ^(H)to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹³ For if ^(A)the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with ^(B)the ashes of a heifer, sanctify^[a] for the purification of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more will ^(C)the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit ^(D)offered himself without blemish to God, ^(E)purify our^[b] conscience ^(F)from dead works ^(G)to serve the living God.

^14 (A)who gave himself for us to ^(B)redeem us from all lawlessness and ^(C)to purify for himself ^(D)a people for his own possession who are ^(E)zealous for good works.

^25 (A)I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from ^(B)all your uncleannesses, and ^(C)from all your idols ^(D)I will cleanse you. ²⁶ And I will give you ^(E)a new heart, and ^(F)a new spirit I will put within you. ^(G)And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. ^27 (H)And I will put my Spirit within you, ^(I)and cause you to walk in my statutes and ^(J)be careful to obey my rules.^[a]
