⁴ then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, ^(A)cedar wood, ^(B)scarlet, and ^(C)hyssop.

⁶ And the priest shall take ^(A)cedar wood and ^(B)hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer.

⁶ As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water.

¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every ^[a]precept to all the people according to the law, ^(A)he took the blood of calves and goats, ^(B)with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

^22 (A)And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and ^(B)strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.

¹⁸ A clean person shall take ^(A)hyssop and dip it in the water, sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave.

⁴⁹ And ^(A)he shall take, to cleanse the house, two birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop. ⁵⁰ Then he shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water; ⁵¹ and he shall take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times. ⁵² And he shall ^[a]cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and the running water and the living bird, with the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet.

^8 (A)‘And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she may bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons—one as a burnt offering and the other as a sin offering. ^(B)So the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be ^[a]clean.’ ”

^7 (A)‘If he is not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lord, for his trespass which he has committed, two ^(B)turtledoves or two young pigeons: one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.
