17 Zion stretches out her hands;
there is no one to comfort her.
The Lord has issued a decree against Jacob
that his neighbors should be his adversaries.
Jerusalem has become
something impure(A) among them.

17 Zion spreads out her hands;[a]
no one is there to comfort her.
The Lord has issued an order against[b] Jacob,
that all who are around him are to be his enemies;
Jerusalem has become
unclean among them.
