² So the Lord ^(A)sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in ^(B)Hazor. The commander of his army was ^(C)Sisera, who dwelt in ^(D)Harosheth Hagoyim.

¹⁶ But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not a man was ^(A)left.

¹³ So Sisera gathered together all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Hagoyim to the River Kishon.

The Northern Conquest

11 And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor heard these things, that he ^(A)sent to Jobab king of Madon, to the king ^(B)of Shimron, to the king of Achshaph,

⁹ And when they ^(A)forgot the Lord their God, He sold them into the hand of ^(B)Sisera, commander of the army of Hazor, into the hand of the ^(C)Philistines, and into the hand of the king of ^(D)Moab; and they fought against them.

²⁵ But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded ^(A)that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made.

The Servant, Israel’s Hope

50 Thus says the Lord:

⁷ So the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and He ^(A)sold them into the hands of the ^(B)Philistines and into the hands of the people of ^(C)Ammon.
