¹² Then they went up and encamped in ^(A)Kirjath Jearim in Judah. (Therefore they call that place ^(B)Mahaneh Dan^[a] to this day. There it is, west of Kirjath Jearim.)

^25 (A)And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at ^[a]Mahaneh Dan ^(B)between Zorah and ^(C)Eshtaol.

^60 (A)Kirjath Baal (which is Kirjath Jearim) and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.

^4 (A)But David had brought up the ark of God from Kirjath Jearim to the place David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

⁵ So ^(A)David gathered all Israel together, from ^(B)Shihor in Egypt to as far as the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God ^(C)from Kirjath Jearim. ⁶ And David and all Israel went up to ^(D)Baalah,^[a] to Kirjath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, ^(E)who dwells between the cherubim, where His name is proclaimed.

Israel Defeats the Philistines

7 Then the men of ^(A)Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of ^(B)Abinadab on the hill, and ^(C)consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord.
