¹⁵ Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, “Please let us detain you and ^(A)prepare a young goat for you.”

^3 (A)And the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Behold, you are barren and have not borne children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.

¹⁸ Please ^(A)do not depart from here until I come to you and bring out my present and set it before you.” And he said, “I will stay till you return.”

¹⁹ So Gideon went into his house ^(B)and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes from an ephah^[a] of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and the broth he put in a pot, and brought them to him under the terebinth and presented them.

³ and said, “O Lord,^[a] if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant. ⁴ Let a ^(A)little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree, ⁵ while I bring a morsel of bread, that ^(B)you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—^(C)since you have come to your servant.” So they said, “Do as you have said.”
