²² And have mercy on those who doubt;

¹⁹ My brothers, ^(A)if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone ^(B)brings him back, ²⁰ let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering ^(C)will save his soul from death and ^(D)will cover a multitude of sins.

Bear One Another's Burdens

6 Brothers,^{[a] (A)}if anyone is caught in any transgression, ^(B)you who are spiritual should restore him in ^(C)a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

¹⁶ If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and ^(A)God^[a] will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. ^(B)There is sin that leads to death; ^(C)I do not say that one should pray for that. ^17 (D)All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

¹⁸ We know that ^(E)everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but ^(F)he who was born of God ^(G)protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

⁴ For it is impossible, in the case of those ^(A)who have once been enlightened, who have tasted ^(B)the heavenly gift, and ^(C)have shared in the Holy Spirit, ⁵ and ^(D)have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, ⁶ and ^(E)then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since ^(F)they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. ⁷ For ^(G)land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. ⁸ But ^(H)if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, ^(I)and its end is to be burned.

¹⁷ “As for you, my flock, thus says the Lord God: ^(A)Behold, I judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and ^(B)male goats.

⁴ For ^(A)certain people ^(B)have crept in unnoticed ^(C)who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert ^(D)the grace of our God into sensuality and ^(E)deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

⁵ Now I want ^(F)to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that ^(G)Jesus, who saved^[a] a people out of the land of Egypt, ^(H)afterward destroyed those who did not believe. ⁶ And ^(I)the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day— ⁷ just as ^(J)Sodom and Gomorrah and ^(K)the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and ^(L)pursued unnatural desire,^[b] serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

⁸ Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and ^(M)blaspheme the glorious ones. ⁹ But when ^(N)the archangel ^(O)Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing ^(P)about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, ^(Q)“The Lord rebuke you.” ^10 (R)But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. ¹¹ Woe to them! For they walked in ^(S)the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain ^(T)to Balaam's error and ^(U)perished in Korah's rebellion. ¹² These are hidden reefs^{[c] (V)}at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, ^(W)shepherds feeding themselves; ^(X)waterless clouds, ^(Y)swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, ^(Z)uprooted; ^13 (AA)wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of ^(AB)their own shame; ^(AC)wandering stars, ^(AD)for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.

²⁰ I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.
