¹⁹ There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except ^(A)the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. All the others they took in battle.

¹⁷ and from the tribe of Benjamin, ^(A)Gibeon with its common-land, ^(B)Geba with its common-land,

⁴ Now ^(A)the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, ^(B)for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.

^5 (A)At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon ^(B)in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
