^10 (A)And the Lord threw them into a panic before Israel, who^[a] struck them with a great blow at Gibeon and chased them by the way of ^(B)the ascent of Beth-horon and struck them as far as Azekah and Makkedah.

³ Then it goes down westwards to the territory of the Japhletites, as far as the territory of Lower ^(A)Beth-horon, then to ^(B)Gezer, and it ends at the sea.

⁵ The territory of the people of Ephraim by their clans was as follows: the boundary of their inheritance on the east was ^(A)Ataroth-addar as far as Upper Beth-horon,

¹³ From there the boundary passes along southwards in the direction of Luz, to the shoulder of ^(A)Luz (that is, Bethel), then the boundary goes down to ^(B)Ataroth-addar, on the mountain that lies south of Lower ^(C)Beth-horon. ¹⁴ Then the boundary goes in another direction, turning on the ^(D)western side southwards from the mountain that lies to the south, opposite Beth-horon, and it ends at Kiriath-baal (^(E)that is, Kiriath-jearim), a city belonging to the people of Judah.
