²⁴ But they burned the city and all that was in it with fire. Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.

¹⁶ And the ten horns which you ^[a]saw on the beast, ^(A)these will hate the harlot, make her ^(B)desolate ^(C)and naked, eat her flesh and ^(D)burn her with fire.

^9 (A)He burned the house of the Lord ^(B)and the king’s house; all the houses of Jerusalem, that is, all the houses of the great, ^(C)he burned with fire.

²⁸ So Joshua burned Ai and made it ^(A)a heap forever, a desolation to this day.

⁸ Therefore her plagues will come ^(A)in one day—death and mourning and famine. And ^(B)she will be utterly burned with fire, ^(C)for strong is the Lord God who ^[a]judges her.

¹⁶ And you shall gather all its plunder into the middle of the street, and ^[a]completely ^(A)burn with fire the city and all its plunder, for the Lord your God. It shall be ^(B)a ^[b]heap forever; it shall not be built again.

¹⁹ But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are ^[a]consecrated to the Lord; they ^[b]shall come into the treasury of the Lord.”
