34 The Merarite clans (the rest of the Levites) were given:

from the tribe of Zebulun,(A)

Jokneam,(B) Kartah, 35 Dimnah and Nahalal,(C) together with their pasturelands—four towns;

36 from the tribe of Reuben,

Bezer,(D) Jahaz,(E) 37 Kedemoth and Mephaath,(F) together with their pasturelands—four towns;

38 from the tribe of Gad,

Ramoth(G) in Gilead(H) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder), Mahanaim,(I) 39 Heshbon and Jazer,(J) together with their pasturelands—four towns in all.

40 The total number of towns allotted to the Merarite clans, who were the rest of the Levites, came to twelve.(K)

From the tribe of Zebulun

they received Jokneam, Kartah,[a] Rimmono and Tabor, together with their pasturelands;

78 from the tribe of Reuben across the Jordan east of Jericho

they received Bezer(A) in the wilderness, Jahzah, 79 Kedemoth(B) and Mephaath, together with their pasturelands;

80 and from the tribe of Gad

they received Ramoth in Gilead,(C) Mahanaim,(D) 81 Heshbon and Jazer,(E) together with their pasturelands.(F)
