³ Then it goes down westward to the territory of the Japhletites, as far as the territory of Lower ^(A)Beth-horon, then to ^(B)Gezer, and it ends at the sea.

⁵ He also built ^(A)Upper Beth-horon and Lower Beth-horon, ^(B)fortified cities ^(C)with walls, gates, and bars,

¹³ From there the boundary passes along southward in the direction of Luz, to the shoulder of ^(A)Luz (that is, Bethel), then the boundary goes down to ^(B)Ataroth-addar, on the mountain that lies south of Lower ^(C)Beth-horon.

³³ Then Horam king of ^(A)Gezer came up to help Lachish. And Joshua struck him and his people, until he left none remaining.

^28 (A)Their possessions and settlements were Bethel and its towns, and to the east Naaran, and to the west ^(B)Gezer and its towns, Shechem and its towns, and Ayyah and its towns;
