² Their inheritances were assigned by lot^(A) to the nine and a half tribes,^(B) as the Lord had commanded through Moses.

¹³ Moses commanded the Israelites: “Assign this land by lot^(A) as an inheritance.^(B) The Lord has ordered that it be given to the nine and a half tribes,

⁵⁴ Distribute the land by lot,^(A) according to your clans.^(B) To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one.^(C) Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.^(D)

⁵⁵ Be sure that the land is distributed by lot.^(A) What each group inherits will be according to the names for its ancestral tribe. ⁵⁶ Each inheritance is to be distributed by lot among the larger and smaller groups.”

³⁴ “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom^(A) prepared for you since the creation of the world.^(B)
