¹⁸ The one who speaks on his own authority ^(A)seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.

^41 (A)I do not receive glory from people.

³¹ So, whether you eat or drink, or ^(A)whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. ^32 (B)Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to ^(C)the church of God, ³³ just as ^(D)I try to please everyone in everything I do, ^(E)not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.

¹¹ whoever speaks, as one who speaks ^(A)oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves ^(B)by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything ^(C)God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. ^(D)To him belong glory and ^(E)dominion forever and ever. Amen.

^6 (A)Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, ^(B)though we could have made ^(C)demands as ^(D)apostles of Christ.

³ Do nothing from ^(A)selfish ambition or ^(B)conceit, but in ^(C)humility count others more significant than yourselves. ⁴ Let each of you ^(D)look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. ^5 (E)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,^[a]

^12 (A)It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh ^(B)who would force you to be circumcised, and only ^(C)in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. ¹³ For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. ¹⁴ But far be it from me to boast ^(D)except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which^[a] the world ^(E)has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

⁴ I ^(A)glorified you on earth, ^(B)having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. ⁵ And now, Father, ^(C)glorify me in your own presence with the glory ^(D)that I had with you ^(E)before the world existed.

A New Commandment

³¹ When he had gone out, Jesus said, ^(A)“Now is the Son of Man glorified, and ^(B)God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in him, ^(C)God will also glorify him in himself, and ^(D)glorify him at once.
