¹⁷ But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

¹⁰ Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.

⁴ We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us.^[a] The night is coming, and then no one can work.

³ The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

⁶ God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.

²⁸ For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your^[a] own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

¹⁷ but he never left them without evidence of himself and his goodness. For instance, he sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts.”

²⁹ What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin^[a]? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.
