²³ But the hour is coming and is now here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him.^(A)

³ For it is we who are the circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God^[a] and boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh^(A)—

⁶ And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our^[a] hearts, crying, “Abba!^[b] Father!”^(A)

²⁵ “Very truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and is now here when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.^(A)

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes^[a] with groanings too deep for words.^(A)

²³ Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.^(A)

²⁰ But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit;^{(A) 21} keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to^[a] eternal life.^(B)

⁷ You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly about you when he said:

¹⁸ Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.^(A)

²¹ Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when you^[a] will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.^(A)
