³² He testifies to what he has seen and heard,^(A) but no one accepts his testimony.^(B)

¹¹ Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know,^(A) and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.^(B)

¹⁵ I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.^(A)

²⁶ “I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy,^(A) and what I have heard from him I tell the world.”^(B)

¹¹ He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.^(A)

²⁰ For the Father loves the Son^(A) and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these,^(B) so that you will be amazed.

³³ Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.

² God did not reject his people,^(A) whom he foreknew.^(B) Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: ³ “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”^[a]?^{(C) 4} And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”^{[b](D) 5} So too, at the present time there is a remnant^(E) chosen by grace.^{(F) 6} And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works;^(G) if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

¹⁶ But not all the Israelites accepted the good news.^(A) For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”^{[a](B) 17} Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,^(C) and the message is heard through the word about Christ.^{(D) 18} But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:

¹⁹ Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,
