¹⁷ Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to ^(A)My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ^(B)ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’”

²⁹ For those whom He ^(A)foreknew, He also ^(B)predestined to become ^(C)conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the ^(D)firstborn among many brothers and sisters;

¹¹ For both He who ^(A)sanctifies and those who ^(B)are ^[a]sanctified are all ^(C)from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them ^(D)brothers and sisters, ¹² saying,

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children share in ^[b](H)flesh and blood, ^(I)He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that ^(J)through death He might destroy ^(K)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and free those who through ^(L)fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. ¹⁶ For clearly He does not ^[c]give help to angels, but He gives help to the ^[d]descendants of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore, in all things He ^[e]had ^(M)to be made like His brothers so that He might ^(N)become a merciful and faithful ^(O)high priest in ^(P)things pertaining to God, to ^(Q)make ^[f]propitiation for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For since He Himself was ^[g](R)tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are ^[h]tempted.

¹⁷ Therefore, in all things He ^[a]had ^(A)to be made like His brothers so that He might ^(B)become a merciful and faithful ^(C)high priest in ^(D)things pertaining to God, to ^(E)make ^[b]propitiation for the sins of the people.
