John 19:16-22King James Version (KJV)

16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was Jesus Of Nazareth The King Of The Jews.

20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

John 19:16-22Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified.

And they took Jesus, and led him away. 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 18 where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

John 19:16-22Modern English Version (MEV)

16 Then he handed Him over to them to be crucified.

The Crucifixion

So they took Jesus and led Him away. 17 He went out, carrying His own cross, to a place called The Place of a Skull, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha. 18 There they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the middle.

19 Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. The writing was:

JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

20 Many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city. And it was written in Hebrew, in Greek, and in Latin. 21 The chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but ‘He said, I am King of the Jews.’ ”

22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”

16 Así que entonces lo entregó a ellos para que fuese crucificado. Tomaron, pues, a Jesús, y le llevaron.

Crucifixión y muerte de Jesús

(Mt. 27.32-50; Mr. 15.21-37; Lc. 23.26-49)

17 Y él, cargando su cruz, salió al lugar llamado de la Calavera, y en hebreo, Gólgota;

22 Respondió Pilato: Lo que he escrito, he escrito.
