²⁰ At that day you will know that ^(A)I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

⁵ “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much ^(A)fruit; for without Me you can do ^(B)nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, ^(C)he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words ^(D)abide in you, ^(E)you^[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

^26 (A)And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love ^(B)with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

²⁰ I have been ^(A)crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh ^(B)I live by faith in the Son of God, ^(C)who loved me and gave Himself for me.

^21 (A)that they all may be one, as ^(B)You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. ²² And the ^(C)glory which You gave Me I have given them, ^(D)that they may be one just as We are one: ²³ I in them, and You in Me; ^(E)that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Free from Indwelling Sin

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, ^(A)who^[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

¹⁰ Do you not believe that ^(A)I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you ^(B)I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

Seeing God Through Love

^12 (A)No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

³⁸ but if I do, though you do not believe Me, ^(A)believe the works, that you may know and ^[a]believe ^(B)that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
