¹⁷ Therefore the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of his tomb and raised him from the dead, bore witness.

^2 (A)who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things ^(B)that he saw.

⁹ If we receive ^(A)the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; ^(B)for this is the witness of ^[a]God which He has testified of His Son. ¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God ^(C)has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God ^(D)has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ^12 (E)He who has the Son has ^[b]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

³² And ^(A)we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit ^(B)whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

²² beginning from the baptism of John to that day when ^(A)He was taken up from us, one of these must ^(B)become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

³⁵ And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is ^(A)true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may ^(B)believe.

The Plot to Kill Lazarus

⁹ Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, ^(A)whom He had raised from the dead.

²⁴ This is the disciple who ^(A)testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

The Plot to Kill Jesus^(A)

⁴⁵ Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, ^(B)and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him. ⁴⁶ But some of them went away to the Pharisees and ^(C)told them the things Jesus did.

⁴² And I know that You always hear Me, but ^(A)because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”
