The Word Becomes Flesh

^14 (A)And the Word ^(B)became ^(C)flesh and dwelt among us, and ^(D)we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ^(E)full of grace and truth.

^9 (A)In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten ^(B)Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the ^[a]mystery of godliness:

The Eternal Word^(A)

1 In the beginning ^(B)was the Word, and the ^(C)Word was ^(D)with God, and the Word was ^(E)God.

⁴ But ^(A)when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, ^(B)born^{[a] (C)}of a woman, ^(D)born under the law,

^3 (A)who being the brightness of His glory and the express ^(B)image of His person, and ^(C)upholding all things by the word of His power, ^(D)when He had ^[a]by Himself ^[b]purged ^[c]our sins, ^(E)sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

What Was Heard, Seen, and Touched^(A)

1 That ^(B)which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have ^(C)seen with our eyes, ^(D)which we have looked upon, and ^(E)our hands have handled, concerning the ^(F)Word of life— ^2 (G)the life ^(H)was manifested, and we have seen, ^(I)and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was ^(J)with the Father and was manifested to us—

⁶ who, ^(A)being in the form of God, did not consider it ^[a]robbery to be equal with God, ^7 (B)but ^[b]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form ^(C)of a bondservant, and ^(D)coming in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and ^(E)became ^(F)obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
