³⁴ And I myself have seen, and have testified that this is ^(A)the ^[a]Son of God.”

⁴¹ He first *found his own brother Simon and *said to him, “We have found the ^(A)Messiah” (which translated means ^[a]Christ).

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Here is truly an ^(A)Israelite, in whom there is no deceit!” ⁴⁸ Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before ^(B)Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” ⁴⁹ Nathanael answered Him, “^(C)Rabbi, You are ^(D)the Son of God; You are the ^(E)King of Israel!” ⁵⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” ⁵¹ And He *said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see ^(F)heaven opened and ^(G)the angels of God ascending and descending on ^(H)the Son of Man.”

¹⁶ “For God so ^(A)loved the world, that He ^(B)gave His ^(C)only Son, so that everyone who ^(D)believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God ^(E)did not send the Son into the world ^(F)to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. ^18 (G)The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of ^(H)the only Son of God.

^6 (A)That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.

³³ The one who has accepted His testimony ^(A)has certified that God is true. ³⁴ For He whom God ^(B)sent speaks the words of God; ^(C)for He does not give the Spirit ^[a]sparingly. ^35 (D)The Father loves the Son and ^(E)has entrusted all things to His hand.

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham ^[a]was born, ^[b](A)I am.” ⁵⁹ Therefore they ^(B)picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus ^(C)hid Himself and left the temple grounds.

³⁸ And he said, “I believe, Lord.” And he ^(A)worshiped Him.

⁷ So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly I say to you, I am ^(A)the door of the sheep. ⁸ All those who came before Me are ^(B)thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. ^9 (C)I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. ¹⁰ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they ^(D)would have life, and ^[a]have it abundantly.

¹¹ “^(E)I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd ^(F)lays down His life for the sheep. ¹² He who is a hired hand, and not a ^(G)shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf snatches them and scatters the flock. ¹³ He flees because he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep. ^14 (H)I am the good shepherd, and ^(I)I know My own, and My own know Me, ¹⁵ just as ^(J)the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and ^(K)I lay down My life for the sheep.
