He was a murderer from the beginning, and ^(D)does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

³ But I fear, lest somehow, as ^(A)the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds ^(B)may be corrupted from the ^[a]simplicity that is in Christ.

¹⁴ And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
