John 5:38-45

38 Also you do not have (A)His word remaining in you, because you do not believe Him whom He (B)sent.
Testimony of the Scripture
39 [a](C)You examine the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is (D)those very Scriptures that testify about Me; 40 and yet you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life. 41 (E)I do not receive glory from people; 42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves. 43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not [b]receive Me; (F)if another comes in his own name, you will [c]receive him. 44 How can you believe, when you [d](G)accept [e]glory from one another and you do not seek (H)the [f]glory that is from (I)the one and only God? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is (J)Moses, in whom you have put your hope.

38 nor does his word dwell in you,(A) for you do not believe(B) the one he sent.(C) 39 You study[a] the Scriptures(D) diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life.(E) These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,(F) 40 yet you refuse to come to me(G) to have life.
41 “I do not accept glory from human beings,(H) 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God[b]?(I)
45 “But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses,(J) on whom your hopes are set.(K)
