⁸ More than that, I count all things to be loss ^[a]in view of the surpassing value of ^[b](A)knowing ^(B)Christ Jesus my Lord, ^[c]for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,

^2 (A)Grace and peace be multiplied to you in ^(B)the knowledge of God and of Jesus ^[a]our Lord, ³ for His ^(C)divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true ^(D)knowledge of Him who ^(E)called us ^[b]by His own glory and ^[c]excellence.

²⁰ For if, after they have ^(A)escaped the defilements of the world by ^(B)the knowledge of the ^(C)Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again ^(D)entangled in them and are overcome, ^(E)the last state has become worse for them than the first.

¹⁸ but grow in the grace and ^(A)knowledge of our ^(B)Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ^(C)To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
