The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word,^(A) and the Word was with God,^(B) and the Word was God.^(C)

¹⁴ The Word became flesh^(A) and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,^(B) the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace^(C) and truth.^(D)

²⁵ Now to him who is able^(A) to establish you in accordance with my gospel,^(B) the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery^(C) hidden for long ages past,

²⁶ but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings^(A) by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from^[a] faith^(B)—

²⁶ the mystery^(A) that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people.

¹⁰ but it has now been revealed^(A) through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus,^(B) who has destroyed death^(C) and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

¹¹ For the grace^(A) of God has appeared^(B) that offers salvation to all people.^(C)

⁴ But when the kindness^(A) and love of God our Savior^(B) appeared,^(C)

⁵ But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins.^(A) And in him is no sin.^(B)
