Job 38:16-21

16 “Have you entered into (A)the springs of the sea
Or walked [a]in the recesses of the deep?
17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you,
Or have you seen the gates of the (B)shadow of death?
18 Have you carefully considered the [b]expanse of (C)the earth?
Tell Me, if you know all this.
19 “Where is the way to where the light dwells?
And darkness, where is its place,
20 That you may take it to (D)its territory
And that you may discern the paths to its [c]home?
21 You know, for (E)you were born then,
And the number of your days is great!

Or have you seen the gates of deep shadow?
18 Have you considered closely the earth’s vast expanse?
Declare it, if you know all of it.
19 “Where then[a] is the way where the light dwells?
And where then[b] is its place,
20 that you may take it to its territory,
and that you might discern the paths to its home?
21 You know, for you were born then,
and the number of your days is great.
