⁸ They will fly away like a dream and not be found;
    they will be chased away like a vision of the night.^(A)

²⁰ They are^[a] like a dream when one awakes;
    on awaking you despise their phantoms.^(A)

⁷ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel,
    all that fight against her and her stronghold and who distress her,
    shall be like a dream, a vision of the night.^(A)
8 Just as when a hungry person dreams of eating
    and wakes up still hungry
or a thirsty person dreams of drinking
    and wakes up faint, still thirsty,
so shall the multitude of all the nations be
    that fight against Mount Zion.^(B)

¹⁰ He rode on a cherub and flew;
    he came swiftly upon the wings of the wind.^(A)

²¹ The east wind lifts them up, and they are gone;
    it sweeps them out of their place.^(A)
22 It^[a] hurls at them without pity;
    they flee from its^[b] power in headlong flight.^(B)
23 It^[c] claps its^[d] hands at them
    and hisses at them from its^[e] place.^(C)

¹⁸ They are thrust from light into darkness
    and driven out of the world.
