²⁵ Therefore the Lord’s anger^(A) burns against his people;
    his hand is raised and he strikes them down.
The mountains shake,^(B)
    and the dead bodies^(C) are like refuse^(D) in the streets.^(E)

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,^(F)
    his hand is still upraised.^(G)

⁸ Smoke rose from his nostrils;^(A)
    consuming fire^(B) came from his mouth,
    burning coals^(C) blazed out of it.

¹⁵ The valleys of the sea were exposed
    and the foundations^(A) of the earth laid bare
at your rebuke,^(B) Lord,
    at the blast of breath from your nostrils.^(C)
