²⁹ He will no longer be rich and his wealth will not endure,^(A)
    nor will his possessions spread over the land.^(B)

¹⁰ His children^(A) must make amends to the poor;
    his own hands must give back his wealth.^(B)

¹⁷ what he lays up^(A) the righteous will wear,^(B)
    and the innocent will divide his silver.^(C)

¹⁶ Do not be overawed when others grow rich,
    when the splendor of their houses increases;
¹⁷ for they will take nothing^(A) with them when they die,
    their splendor will not descend with them.^(B)

²² A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
    but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.^(A)

⁸ Whoever increases wealth by taking interest^(A) or profit from the poor
    amasses it for another,^(B) who will be kind to the poor.^(C)

¹¹ Wail,^(A) you who live in the market district^[a];
    all your merchants will be wiped out,
    all who trade with^[b] silver will be destroyed.^(B)
